You Twit Face!
Can you make a difference with YouTube, Twitter & Facebook? You betcha!
Twitter seems a particularly powerful tool, a few RTs here and there and you're away, we even managed to get Solar Brite featured in the Walford Daily, for posting a picture of Ian Beale in a Mankini.
Walford Daily is an e-publication viewed by I expect both targeted and non targeted readers, but still. For those interested, the publisher EastendersHQ pitches themselves on Twitter as an Eastenders Fan bringing Eastenders gossip and the occasional factual article. All very interesting for those wanting a little inside information!
Another success we had was..... dare I say the name...... Justin Bieber.
Mention Bieber on Twitter and it's as if Krakatoa has erupted with Bieber fans, flooding everything in sight. Never speak badly of Bieber, because for every Krakatoa, there's a Vesuvius, and that's a LOT BIGGER!!!!! Oh.. and if you're reading this, thinking "I love Justin Bieber, I love him so much and I want to cuddle him every night" - then:
1) What are you thinking?
2) Consider yourself lucky to have made it this far in life........ but most importantly.......
3) Buy a Bieber Doll Here - too good an opportunity to miss.... sorry about that!

Aftermath
What's worse than coming back into work on a Monday after a great weekend off? Coming back to work and finding out that what you're working so hard to develop and promote wasn't working for most of the weekend. The Sharper Edge website was down, and SolarBrite too. Click them now though, they work! A repeating 'memory space' issue I'm told (yawn).
If I could build a functioning platform out of some of the stuff I have laying aorund at home; my old pc that's in pieces, a myriad of cables, sockets, dics, boards and other stuff that i can't identify, I could well be the next Alan Sugar or Bill Gates??!
Our new images for SolarBrite are nearly ready, Lemonsplash Photography called in and it sounds like things are going well.
On top of this, on a seperate project, the designers of our packaging Creative Edge have sent some photos that they're using for their new site. We're really pleased with their results.
Exciting times ahead........

Video, done!
The video is complete!!!! Solar Brite Video
I had great plans for the original video, pumping tunes, special effects and all the rest of it, but what began to transform was the devil child of over-engineered poop! So I binned that and made it a lot simpler. Pretty pleased with the results, the most important thing was to be able to dispay that we have a product and give it its rightful exposure on the www.
Now that's done I can rest easy that the YouTube link on our site www.thesharperedge.co.uk serves a purpose, and leave it to my colleagues to come up with the next great adventure in film making!

Solar Brite Domination?
Wow, for those that didn;t know, Solar Fairy lights really aren't just for Christmas, the new range has proved really popular and I guess as the nights are stating to draw in (who said that - can this really be true, REALLY?) the demand grows to make gardens and houses pretty all over the country.
Creativeedge.uk.com have had a big hand in the new packaging, so much so, the boss Ross (let's call him David Bailey for now) is photographing our products for their new website. This at the same time as Tony from Lemonsplashphotography.com is preparing our product for the next leap in taking pics in what I only can invisage as a Santas Grotto at the bottom of his garden - can't wait to see these photos.
And I've swapped the mouse and keyboard for a camera for a few minutes today putting together the new SolarBrite video, James Cameron I AM NOT, but it'll tell a story of it's own I'm sure, like make sure you eat before using a camera without a tripod or it comes out more like Cloverfield! Just got to pick the soundtrack now...... Always look on the BRITE side of life.....? Just a thought - and trust me this was with no effort whatsoever :-)

Social, Me?
Spent last night trying to take a video of Solar Brite for our YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/giftsandgadget. Wanting a silent film to make editing easier, it took quite a while for my lovely assistant Faye to be able to tell me that she'd 'started recording' BEFORE she pressed record. Take One, Take Two, Take Three you get the picture. It reminded me of the time I brought the SoundRacer home to test, but she couldn’t keep her foot on the accelerator, some strange force compelling her to mess it up over and over again!
Anyway, busy day today as always, wish me luck!
